Project Status

Trustees of the California State University system approved the conceptual design of the new Fresno State’s Henry Madden Library at their meeting on March 16 in Long Beach. The approval allows Fresno State to move forward with construction drawings for the library. Read more at FresnoStateNews.com

Project Phases

These tentative dates have been set by personnel from Space and Facilities Planning:

• Spring/Summer 2005: all personnel and collections to move out of Phases I and II (the North Wing)
• Summer 2006: demolition of Phases I and II will begin; construction will begin when demolition is complete
• May 2008: All personnel and collections to move out of the South Wing
• June 2008: Remodeling and renovation of the South Wing begins
• December 2008: completion of the new Madden Library
