Construction Updates
Periodic updates regarding the progress of the Library Expansion will be posted to this web page. They will be posted in descending order.
Status Update: The Library is OPEN!
Beginning May 19 and continuing through December 31, 2008 we are in a different place but our services and materials will still be available.
- Student space is available in UC200 and other locations on campus - see the study map.
- Everything is available for checkout (except Special Collections). All types of materials, including books, journals, videos, maps, music, etc. may be checked out in UC123.
- Request materials online and pick them up in UC 123 (formerly the Renaissance Room) just across from the library entrance.
- Access to library databases and electronic journals is available 24/7.
- Student laptops are available for checkout in UC 5 next to Services for Students with Disabilities. Printing is also available in this space.
- Copying is available in UC123.
- Reference help is available in person (location to be determined), on the telephone (559-278-2174) and through Instant Messenger (maddenlibrary).
- Instruction on library resources is available through online tutorials, Blackboard modules, or through in-person instruction in the classroom. Contact Monica Fusich at 278-7673 for more information.
- Print and electronic course reserves are available. Contact Christy Delbon at 278-3972 for more information.
- Special Collections (278-2595) and Arne Nixon Center (278-8116) materials are available for use by appointment.
